Can One Missed Dose Of Primolut N Tablet Be Taken After 3 Days For PCOS?

Hi, i am prescribed Primulot N 1 tablet daily for 7 days for management of my PCOS. However recently, i missed taking the last dose and only remember it after 3 days. Do I still have to take the last missed dose after such time? Thank you in advance for your response.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the intake of Primolut-N has been there since 6 days and the last dose was remaining, now there is no meaning to take the same at a lapse of 3 days. The period of 5-7 days from the last dose is mandatory to wait for the onset of withdrawal bleeding. Once you get the withdrawal bleed, your OBGYN will prescribe you oral contraceptive pills for the long term management of irregular or anovulating menses.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
