Can One Become Immune To Chicken Pox After Being With A Person Infected?
Hi I would like to know if a person can be immune to the chicken pox? Because When I was younger my oldest stepsister contracted the chicken pox which let to my second oldest sister getting the chicken pox two days later then my sister got the chicken pox. The family doctor advised my father to deliberately have me catch the chicken pox. My father had me use the same cups exchanged saliva. And quarantined me with my 3 infected sisters in the basement which very small room for the whole entire time they had the pox until they were better. It was a few weeks between the 3 of them. And I also had direct rubbing rash to skin And I did not contract the chickenpox. What she leads me to my question. Can I be immune to the chicken pox and if I am an i contract shingles?
As per my clinical experience, the chicken pox is highly contagious during the rash eruption period of the disease. However, the immunity to exposed personnel is dependent upon the viral load as well as host immune response. One can confer the same with lab test of antibodies of the same in the blood.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
