Can Nerve Root Compression With Disc Bulging Be Treated Without Surgery?

Hello doctor , I am 29 year old (177 cm, 71 kg). I am suffering from back pain for the last 15 months. I took a mri scan and it shows disc bulging ( l4 l5) and the root nerve is compressed. Allopathic doctors says an operation is required . Is there any solution for my problem with out a surgery ? I have difficulties when i sit and bent . I feel very tight in my l4 l5 disc area. I do feel numbness in my legs and and my legs r weak now. Please advice me.
