my mother(65yrs) has been diagonised with diabetes recently so is it ok to indulge in house chores and gardening??

Yes, it is absolutely necessary to keep herself busy with household chores. It will keep her sugar Under control. In addition to medications she needs regular exercises and Brisk walking for 30 to 40 minutes daily.
