HI,
I understand your concern.
I feel there is some confusion
Norimin is a combined contraceptive having 28 pills. First 21 pills are active pills & following 7 pills (orange pills )are inactive pills For best results you have to start active pill On 1st day of menses/ after finishing previous pack..The pill is to be taken without break at same time of day at a stretch for 28 days ( 21 active pills followed by 7 inactive pills ) usually there is withdrawal bleeding while you take inactive pills .
Now as per your query ,
- If you take active pills for 9 weeks at a stretch.. & have missed one pill after taking it for 6 weeks.. ( This is unusual ) after taking such a high dose of hormones . You had nearly a gap of 32 hours in the pills... In such a prolonged use of hormones there is less chance of conception with the gap you had.
Still I would advise for consulting your gynecologist & get proper advise about schedule of the pills.
- in case you are taking pills as per advise regularly & have missed 1 pill..which was resumed after 32 hours.. I would advise you to continue with your pack.. & use additional non
hormonal contraceptive ( barrier method) for a week.
In case you get delay in period, test for
pregnancy after 8 days delay by HPT & if pregnancy is +ve, get pregnancy terminated .
Thanks.
