Can Misoprosol Cause Cramps And Light Bleeding?

Hi Doctor I am 4 weeks pregnant and I used mifer. &misoprostol to abort . After first dose of misoprostol I had cramps and flashes and only some brown signs . After using second dose I had cramps and bleed for 8 hours and after 3rd dose i had a light bleeding only signs . Can abort be succesfull ??please answer !!

I understand your concern.
Medical abortion using mifepristone and misoprostol is 90-95% successful.
In your case, it is just the 3rd day of taking tablets, so it is very difficult to tell whether the abortion was complete and successful or not.
Symptoms of unsuccessful abortion are persistent bloody or brown vaginal discharge & cramps even after 2 weeks.
It can be confirmed by transvaginal ultrasonography or serum HCG test. I would advise you to consult you gynecologist for follow up visit after 1 week. He will check and tell you about the completeness.
The follow up visit is very important and should not be ignored.
