Can Metronidazole Cause Spotting And Grey Colored Particles In Discharge?

Hi, I have a question
I have been on Metronidazole for BV for a week. I just took my last pill but I was on my minstrel cycle the entire time. I'm now experiencing very light spotting and small grey -colored things in my discharge, there were only two that I saw and I'm worried.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

It is normal to get worried when you notice something abnormal that you have never experienced before. Metronidazole would not cause these. However, there is no need to get too worried right now. I will rather suggest that you continue to monitor your periods to see if there are any more because it was a one time observation and does not really point to anything specific. Be relaxed and get back to us with more information.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thank you so much for using our services, we very much appreciate this.
