Can Low Dose Of Aspirin Be Taken With Valium?

Been taking Valium for three weeks now - still effective but not as much. Will taking a low dose aspirin help with it's effectiveness at night? I fall asleep fine but wake up three hours later - difficult getting back to sleep for 2 - 3 hours. Will low dose aspirin help with this also?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Valium is Diazepam and the drug is a benzodiazepine drug. Aspirin is a NSAID drug and the drug is found to potentiate the anti-seizure effects of Diazepam in some studies but it has not been found to potentiate the hypnotic effect of the drug. So if you got improvement in sleep after taking both these drugs simultaneously then in my opinion continue to take the drugs and visit your doctor and explain about the dosing time. No need to worry.

Hope this helps you. Thanks and Take care
