good morning doc...my daughter had lockjaw 24 days already...she had difficulty of eating and beginning to lose weight .please let me know what is the cause and what is the best thing to do..

there are various reasons for locked jaw condition known as trismus. it may be due to trauma, infection and irritation to the associated tissue. as you have mentioned your daughter has started losing weight it is very necessary she gets an appointment with the dentist as soon as possible. for the time being let her take foods in liquid form and have a nutritious diet. take care of her health.
