Can Intestinal Parasite Cause Internal Abdominal Itching?

I am having internal abdominal itching. Sometimes it is so quick & harsh, it feels like a bee sting. It is on my left side of my belly button. Occasionally, it extends towards my left hip/side... always in the anterior area. I have hypothyroidism/Hashimotos. Four & half yrs ago, I had a ruptured colon (was septic & almost died) from a singular diverticuli. I'm not sure what this itching/burning is. It started about a month ago but was rare. Now it only stops for an hour at a time... I'm rubbing the area. Tightening my abdominal muscles - and sometimes that helps a little. Squeezing 1-2 inches of skin gives some relief but then it seems to start immediately up again right next to that area. Could this be some sort of parasite (online info.)? Do I need to see a dr.? What can this be?

Internal abdominal itching sensation may be due to Celiac disease or irritable bowel syndrome or abdominal abscess or infection or parasthesia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Please get ultrasound abdomen and pelvis and get treated accordingly.
