General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the delayed period while taking Metronidazole for vaginal infection.

Metronidazole is not known to cause delayed period.

There may possibilities of either the infection (vaginosis) that you already had, for which you took Metronidazole, or stress or psychological disturbance or hormonal imbalance responsible for the delayed periods.

Please consult your gynaecologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Hope I could answer your query.
