Can Inhaling Crystal Meth Cause Blood In Urine And Stool?
23 y/o female been snorting crystal meth for 10 months now and today i noticed blood in what i believe was from both my urine and stool what are possible dx? Also have a Hep B blood work order from my OBGYN for further testing due to some type of blood work coming back positive on my last visit. What could i have??
yeah.....that would be a bad sign...... There are several ways in which methamphetamine may cause damage resulting in bleeding. Besides, loss of blood flow to the area that has the bleeding, it may also harm the liver and have the liver be unable to make proteins involved in blood clotting. That only occurs with a lot of damage to the liver (hepatitis and drugs make liver damage from each much worse). Can be a normal period (presumably you would know this isn't what is occurring). can be some destruction of the area that is bleeding (bad) or loss of function of the liver or blood formation (and not having the cells that control bleeding--platelets). SImple blood work--liver functions, clotting studies, blood count--would sort this out.
