Can Inhaling Pure Bleach Fumes Be Harmful To Infants?

Yes I was cleaning my bathroom with pure bleach and now my whole apt smells like bleach. My 5 month old was asleep in his bassinet in my room which is close to the bathroom. When I realized how strong the smell was I moved him to his room down the hall. The smell is so strong and it s bothering me, how will it affect him or my other children??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I warmly Welcome you !

Fumes directly inside the restroom are more dangerous than outside the restroom. Your babies are all safe and it isn't an issue of medical concern that you should need to seek medical help immediately.

What you have to do is open all the doors and windows and keep the exhaust fans ON for sometime. It will solve the issue to a major extent.

If your babies feel/or show any discomfort feel free to contact me back anytime or you may also go to the local clinic too.

Hope it helps. Sit relax and have a nice time ahead.

Regards!
