Can Inhaler Steroids Be Taken Only During Bronchitis Episode?

i have been useing inhaled steroids past 6 months ......i have been using esiflo 500 and budamate 400 every 12 hours....reading the side effects i want to gradually tap down the medication . my question is : 1 .can i tap down he medication gradually if so , hw ? 2.can i take steroids only during attacks , juz like normal asthalin

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to see status of bronchitis. If the report is good then you should taper down esiflo first.
Continue with budamate.
And again get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). If improvement is seen then taper budamate.
And don't worry about side effect of inhaler. They are very safe. Just make sure you are rinsing your mouth after use.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
