Can Inflamed Bowels Due To Constipation Lead To Low-grade Fever In Children?
My 5 year old daughter has been getting a low-grade fever (99-101) once a month for the past 7 months. It lasts 1 day and then its gone. The only other thing I notice that coincides with the fever is that she gets a little constipated. Could it be that her bowels get inflamed causing the fever?

Can Inflamed Bowels Due To Constipation Lead To Low-grade Fever In Children?
Hello, It can be gastroenteritis. You can give her paracetamol syrup according to the body weight. If symptoms persist, you can consult a pediatrician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you good health. Thanks. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
