Can Infertility Occur From An Untreated UTI? Is It Safe To Take Ampicillin While Nursing?
I ve had a uti ( I think) maybe for the last 4 ish weeks (post c section and cath) and just found out positive for infection. Can infertility occur from an untreated uti? It doesn t hurt when I pee . I m not having the urge to pee and sometimes when I do, I have pain at the c section site. Also is ampicillin safe to take while nursing?

You seems to suffer from-UTI in 4th week -post-C-section.
Can infertility occur from an untreated UTI?If the untreated UTI,extends to PID,Chances of infertility increase.IN 30% infertility cases-are with UTI.
As you are being treated now,chances could reduce if complete treatment with meticulous follow up is given.
Is it safe to take ampicillin while nursing?its safe to use ampicillin in nursing or feeding mothers.
Do's suggested-
Consults and continuous meticulous treatment-to achieve negative Urine culture should minimize the chance of infertility, in your case.
Urologist/Gynec and Physician team working together would give good results.
