Can Ice Cause Shortness Of Breath?
Thank you. Yes, I have a problem eating crushed ice. I was scheduled to have surgery this morning and it was rescheduled due to tightness in my lungs and being short of breath. I have tried to think of anything that has caused this shortness of breath and can't think of anything. Could it possibly be the ice?

You are right that ice may cause your symptoms. Common cold, chest congestion, wheezing, breathlessness can occur by ice eating. So if possible try to avoid this. I think your problem will be subsided by this. One more thing you should never take cold and hot things simultaneously because this can aggravate your problem.
