Can I Use Tri Melason For Acne Marks And Red Pigmentation?
Hello Doctor, I need to now can I use tri melason for acne marks and red pigmentation. I have fair skin and I have severe acne marks on one of my cheek. I have used tri melason some years back for even tone skin it peeled my skin I did not use it with moisturizer
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. Acne and its marks are common yet challenging in day to day practise. I would recommend you to stop using Tri melason cream and consult your dermatologist first for proper advise. If i were your dermatologist, i would recommend you to avoid pricking/ scratching of acne/ marks. Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30 or more sunscreen in aquagel base always before going out in sun. For home based treatment i would prescribe you creams containing kojic acid and azelaic acid which will take care of acne as well as pigmentation. Use a facewash containing glycolic acid and salicyclic acid on daily basis. I would also recommend you take series of chemical peel at clinic, for proper management of your condition. Hope this will take care of your query and wish you best of health. Thank you Dr Hardik Pitroda
