Hi Shridhar,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum.
I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that many a times throat infections can cause middle ear infections. So, you can use cold medicines for treating middle ear infections also.

For your information I am givin below the common symptoms of Otitis Media
Ear pain is usually the first symptom of an ear infection. You may have trouble hearing and your ears may feel plugged. You may have a fever, headache, ringing in your ear, or dizziness. Other signs are nausea (upset stomach) or vomiting (throwing up). You may also have fluid leaking from your ear if the eardrum has burst.

The Treatment is :
Cefuroxime 500 mg 2 times a day for 5-7d
Tablet Maxtra cold 2 times a day for 5-7d
Tab Pan 20 2 times a day for 5-7d

Make sure you should visit your physician if you think that the medicines are not working or you are facing any symptoms after taking the medicines

Thanks for Trusting & Posting your Query on this forum.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question.
Have a nice Day.

Regards,
Dr.Abhijeet
