Can I Take 'metrogyl' For Stomach Upset?

During last summer I had taken lot of Pickel. That might have resulted in IBS. I have used Metrogyl 400 one/day after food for week days and got cured. This week also, I have consumed Hot Pickel. Can I use Metrogyl 400 for the same. I have prblem in bowels. Please advise.

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Metronidazole is used for intestinal infection, amebiasis and anaerobic infections. And the dosages are thrice daily, not one a day. Hence the use of Metronidazole in once a day for taking Hot Pickel or IBS is not at all recommended.
If you have taken hot pickel, watch for the symptoms, send the stool for tests to see the reports and consult your Doctor for proper management if you have any problems
You have mentioned IBS. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a proper clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist, examination and investigations of blood, stool, Ultrasonography and colonoscopy.
If all these investigations are normal then only we can see this to be IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome. And in such a case you have to stop all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Control of stress with or without medications is the mainstay of treatment.
