Can I Take Bystolic And Synthroid Together?

Can I take bystolic medication if i am taking my synthroid my doctor says its ok but have read that it is not suppose to be taken together getting mixed results in my research. I take .75mcg synthroid and the doctor wants me to take bystolic 5 mg once a day. I am concerned if i have an adverse affect if i take them together and also it says i can't stop taking this med without tapering off of it that concerns me what if i have an adverse reaction today will i possibly have a heart attack from this med? I thought maybe trying exercise and eating better to see if this would improve my pulse rate. my pulse is running around 90 to 130 and bp was 140/80 and is nomally pulse 80 and bp 120/60 I believe my doc is on the right track but very scared to take new meds with this bad of reviews
