Can I Spread PTB Inspite Of Taking Medicines?
Hi, I have been diagnose to have minimal PTB right upper lobe, fibrohazed densities seen in the right upper lobe, after that my doctor advice me take quadtab for 6 months, I just want to know if while taking these medication, is it still possible for me to infect my family. thank you

Your findings may suggest tubercular infection in right upper lobe.
You are rightly suggested to take medicines for six months.
Generally antitubercular medicines sterilizes tubercular bacteria in two- three weeks,so it is incapable to infect other persons.
You should take extra precaution during first month like don't get very close to other persons and avoid kissing etc.
Cover your mouth during cough.These will prevent spread of bacteria to other persons.
Take healthy and nutritious diet.
Get well soon.
