Can I Smoke After Undergoing Root Canal Treatment?

I've recently been having a root canal done, I've been through 2 sitting and am 3 weeks away from my next , which will now be sooner because I've seemed to have lose a large section of my tooth where the filling was, am I able to smoke and will it get infected easily?

Actually smoking does not cause any such harmful effects on the tooth which is undergoing root canal treatment. But in any case it causes harmful effects on your health and to your oral cavity, so better not to go for it.

helloo...read thru ur query...in my opinion its better not to smoke(atleast reduce to very less) till the finish of treatment...because it can cause infection of the canal...reduce healing of the infectiin beneath the apex(through the canal)..i can understand its difficult but try it out some way(chew nicotinic gums)..slowly stop the habbit..hope ur benefitted sometging from this reply..have a healthy day!!
