Can High Blood Pressure Lead To Stroke Or Heart Attack?
I have high blood pressure & take Lisinopril - 20 mg. Last night when I went to bed I felt dizzy, anxious & nervous. I checked my pressure & it was 187/123!! I've never had those numbers!! Then it went to 171/88. I took deep breaths & relaxed & then it went to 141/93. I was finally able to sleep, but this morning I woke up with the same dizziness & it was 150/93. I feel better & then dizzy again & a little nauseous. Now I'm at 135/83, which is pretty normal for me. I'm 59 and about 145 pounds. I would just like to know what could have caused this & could it be symptoms of a stroke or heart attack down the line?!? Thank you!

As per your blood pressure readings you are simply a case of hypertension.
You have to start yourself on amlodepin and atenolol combination.
For anxiety you have to take alprazolam 0.5mg at bed time.
Reduce your salt intake in form of pickles, evening snacks (namkeen), salads should be eaten without salt.
And yes high blood pressure can cause stroke or heart attack.
You can also start ecosprin 75mg once a day too.
Kindly get an ECG done and consult any cardiologist.
Also get liver function test, lipid profile, kidney function test done.
