Can High Blood Pressure Cause Toothache And Sore Throat?

I'm 52 yrs female and was diagnosed with neuropathy 10 yrs ago. About 5 years ago i had surgery for cancer of partid gland . I did not have chemo and was not on medication. Fri I went to because of high blood pressure. It was 216 over 103. I had an ekg which was Fine but ever since I got out I was given prescription of benazepril 25 MG. Ever since then I have a severe headache and my teeth hurt on the same side as Where I had surgery . My throat and roof of mouth hurt. I have medical appointments tomorrow. But was wondering if teeth pain and soar throat is part of high blood pressure

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I am sorry to hear about your problem and will try me level best to solve it to the best of my knowledge and experience...

As per your complain it seems that headache along with pain in teeth and also painful roof of the mouth and throat seems to be most probably due to infection in any of the tooth of the painful side while it can also be due to infected sinuses of the affected side..

It does not seems related to parotid surgery or blood pressure as your blood pressure might be under the normal limits as you are taking medications to control it..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investiagtions like full mouth x ray also known as Panoromic x ray can be advised along with PNS view x ray of sinuses to confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now you can take painkillers like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac to relieve pain..
Do cool compresses over the cheek..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
