Can Hiccups Be Corelated To Lump Under Chin?

My daughter has a lump under her chin, close to where it meets the throat. She has an appt with her primary this week, but lately has been having hiccups constantly so I m wondering if there be a correlation to the lump? Even more so, should I have her checked sooner?

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

Hiccup is like a symptom which can have million causes most of which though are benign and you have nothing to worry about.

If the hiccups are persistent then of course you must consult a doctor as soon as possible. Theoretically there can be a link between any lump and hiccup but this is very very rare and unlikely in your daughters case. In any case your primary can examine you anid help you out. You can also consult your ENT surgeon for proper guidance on this.

hope this helps
