Can Having Energy Drink Result In Increased BP Level?

Yesterday afternoon I drank 1 2oz bottle of 5 hour energy, I felt edgy from 5 p.m. until about 9 p.m. I decided to check my blood pressure and to my surprise my blood pressure was at 170 / 95. My blood pressure is usually 115 / 75-80. It was still high this morning at 140 / 90 should I be concerned that I screwed up my health by taking this drink.

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The sequence of events is highly suggestive of the effects of the drink; but the effects are likely to be transient… / Avoid it for ever!
Check you BP on several occasions in the following week
If it recurs, you will need more tests depending on the clinical situation...A cardiologist can assess and help further.
Prognosis is generally excellent in such situations…

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
