Can H Pylori Cause Soreness In Neck Glands And Pain Under Rib-cage?
I have been diagnosed with h pylori. My glands in my neck are sore and I have a pain directly under my right rib cage. I have been doing the 'triple therapy' for treating the h pylori. Could my other systems be caused by this infection or should I be letting my family doctor know?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. H. pylori is not known to give neck glands or pain under the right rib cage. The cause of the glands may be reactionary or due to infection by bacteria and hence the following should be done. FNAC gives the best possible diagnosis and thus a plan for management by antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. These will help for the pain under ribs if it is due to costochondritis. Additional X-ray and and Ultrasonography may help further. Continue the triple therapy for your H. pylori infection and continue further management with a PPI like Omeprazole, antacids and Domperidone as required. Go for soft and bland diet. Reduce the stress and anxiety to help you more.
