Can Giving Otocin-O Be Safe For Ear Infection To Infants?
Can i give my infant(9 months) otocin-O? She suddenly started crying out loud in the might and pulling her ear. Its got to be an ear infection. I have given her some anti-pyrine and benzocaine, but doesnt seem to have helped. O have some otocin-O . can I give her that??
Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant has ear infection and it is causing pain to child. I would suggest you to give Otocin- O to child. It is safe. apart from this consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and get an Otoscopic examination as well. For infection in ear you can give oral antibiotics as well. Antibiotic ear drops and decongestant nasal sprays can also help. avoid pricking or touching it with any sharp object. You can apply slight warm compressors as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
