Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Usually there is no relation between gas and rapid heart rate unless it is over distended. Distension may push the diaphragm upside and lead to increased intrathoracic pressure lead to decreased venous return lead to increased heart rate probably. Don't neglect the palpitations just get one ECG done and please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care
