If you don t have fever (high degree) and no shortness of breath and you remain in overnight fasting, I don t think it poses some risk. But, the final decision will be of Anaesthesiologist prior to surgery. Its not the surgeon who decides. Its the decision of anesthesiologist. He will auscultate your chest and if clear on stethoscope auscultation, neither he, nor the surgeon will have any problem going with all that. Hope it helped you today.
