Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
Fluconazole is a good treatment option for vaginal candidosis. However, this infection is often accompanied by intense itches and this is something that you have not reported. I will like you to get this discharge examined in the laboratory for the exact cause to be identified before going on with treatment. It could be another infection that doesn't responds to fluconazole. In any case, it is safe to take fluconazole even when having acidity problems.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free t ask for more information if needed. Thanks for using this panel for your questions.
