Can Finger Prick Test Show Accurate Results For HIV?
I had a sexual encounter with a lady I realized later is HIV positive. During both 2 encounters I was using a condom that I checked with no breaks.After few days I had congested nose for two weeks and a consistent headache later for about 2 and half weeks. 5 months later I started having pains which usually lasts for less than 3min. I got tested for HIV at 4 weeks and it was negative with a finger prick test. 1) are these signs of HIV 2)How reliable is Finger prick test at 4 weeks 3) Can I have HIV from oral sex since I Inserted my finger in her virgina Please help. The fingerstick test is very reliable, however, if you have not seroconverted then it my be negative, ideally you need to have another HIV test later on say at least 6 months from first testing to affirm true negative status. 3. You can get HIV from oral sex.
