Can Excessive Alcohol Consumption Cause Blood In Stool?

Hi my dad is an alcoholic and is very stubborn when going to the doctor...recently he s been having a lot of blood in stool and I know I should take him to the hospital but that s easier said then done...could you tell me so I can have an idea what could be wrong with him

If stool is dar this may be stomach bleeding, such may happen through esophageal varicosis caused by alcohol, if stool is light red it may be problem of lower intestines, like hemorrhoid, not caused by alcohol. Bets is to get it checked, best regards
