Can Excedrin Migraine Cause Difference In A1c Test?
Hello I recently had an A1c test done and the result was 7.4. Is it possible that medication has affected the out come of the test. I was taking excedrin migraine, sudifed sinus pressure medication and headon medicine everyday (sometimes more than once a day) for the last 3 months. The last A1c test I had was fine. That was a year ago.

Generally, Excedrin migraine has no known effect on A1c level. However, Sudafed sinus pressure medication contains pseudoephedrine, which is known to cause increase in blood sugar level and hence, a raise in A1c level.
