Can 'eldervitzc' Be Taken To Lower Cholesterol Levels?

I was introduced to eldervitzc as a vitamin source and an alternative to regular cholestrol medication, I take one capsule everyone morning, would this be a problem? Yes, it has helped my cholesterol level to drop. Age46, 1.76mt, hypertensive, but no serious medical history.

Good morning! I am glad to hear you associate this vitamin to the cholesterol reduction. In looking at the ingredients, the only possible cholesterol lowering nutrient was niacinamide. Generally we administer niacin as nicotinic acid to lower cholesterol. You will notice a flush over your face if you have taken the correct one. Thank you for enlightening me on the effect it had on you.
The other ingredients will not lower your cholesterol at all. We have vitamin B12, vitamin C, and Folic Acid - all great for anemia, energy, but not for cholesterol reduction. I see absolutely no problem at all if the attending doctor is in agreement of taking eldervitzc. I am happy to hear your cholesterol has dropped. Now, do you need help with the blood pressure? Did I answer all your concerns? Thank you for visiting HCM. Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
