Hello I recently had a upper respiratory infection and now my ear is full of fluid and the pressure is bad, I brought myself to the ER and I insisted they do a cat scan of course they did of the sinuses and the brain scan came out great and no sinus infection ,No air fluid levels no frothy secretions, or high density material is seen within the paranasal sinuses. Mild deviation of the nasal septum is seen.. The frontal, esthmoid, sphenoid. and maxillary sinuses are clear. Trace left mastoid fluid is seen, right mastoid air cells are well aerated.Both globes are unremarkable. No significant pre-or postseptal soft tissue swelling is seen. Few small Calcifications areseen in the region of bilateral palatine tonsils, nonspecific possibly related to prior infection or infammatory process.No evidence of acute sinusitis. Brain scan came all clear no extra or axial fluid collection. The visualized paranasal sinuses and orbits appear unremarkable, Mastoid air cells are clear. Now why the hell do I have such pressure in my ear with some hearing loss, I can t take it. Plese can you explain this to me.
