Can Different Generic Brand Pills Cause Any Difference In Strength?

i am on generic percocet and have been prescribed 5/325 with 512 imprinted on one side. Recently picked up my prescription but pill was oblong, not circular, and u15 was imprinted on one side. New oblong pills seem not to work quite as well as 512 pills. Is there a difference in strength or is is just a different generic brand not acting quite as strong as the original pills. Thank you.

Hi & Welcome.

The active ingredients found in both the pills are Acetaminophen-325 mg and Oxycodone hydrochloride 5 mg.

The generic Perocet is having an imprint of 512 and the pill is round and white in color.

The other one is having an imprint of U 15, and the pill is capsule (oblong) shaped and white in color.

Both of these pills have some strength of active ingredients as mentioned above, so it is just a different generic brand which does not seem to be as effective as the original one.

Hope I could answer your queries.
