Can Dark Urine And Yellowing Of Skin Be Caused Due To Extreme Dehydration?

February 1st i contracted the flu and had it for 2 weeks. i stupidly did not hydrate myself properly until the latter part of the infection. i noticed a darkening of my urine and a yellowing of my skin and eyes,my question is, could this be due to extreme dehydration from the flu? i have no abdominal pains,i have not consumed alcohol in 3 years. i am for the most part i am a healthy 62 year old male who does smoke 4 cigarettes a day.. this jaundice has me concerned

Hello,
I'm sorry but the hydration has nothing to do with your jaundice.
I'd suggest you get a blood test done for viral hepatitis and also an ultrasound scan of your abdomen.
