Can Damaged Veins In Arms After Long Term IV Usage Be Treated?
I have also damaged my veins from IV use 20 years ago. I injected pharmaceutical meds using a butterfly devise in arms & hands.I now have many health issues (some due to the IV use). Over the last 10 years I have needed many IVs while in hospital for many issues. I believe that has also contributed to the problem. Is there something like a life port out there that would help me in case of emergency? Thanks
Hi Welcome. I have gone through your query. It need to be examined to comment on it. Damage in the veins might be due to extravasation of the drug. Thrombophob ointment might be helpful. See physician for examination and further help. Take care
