Can Constant Cough Be Due To Intake Of Lisinopril Tablets?

Can Lisinopril Tabs (5 mg) cause coughing: I have had a cough for over a year & not from a cold. I was taking Labetalol 200 mg twice a day with Nifedipine Er (XII) as a blocker. before the doctor added Lisinopril. Blood pressure has been holding stable by an annoying cough through out the day. Going to talk with my physician on Monday. I just saw the charges not thank you. I will thank with my physician on Monday. Sorry to brother you. Bye!!!

Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor and works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily so it is used to lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
Persistent dry cough and sore throat is one of the side effect of this molecule,but
your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
Ask your doctor for this problem and review your condition.
