Can Combination Immunization Containing Hep B Vaccine Given Twice Have Side Effects?

My 8 week old grandson was given a combination immunization which contained Hep B vaccine and during the same visit was given a straight Hep B vaccine, so he was given too much at one time. Can this have any long term side effects? There were no unusual reactions. The vaccinations were given 72+ hours ago,

Hello. Thank you for your question. There is no way to overdose on any of the vaccines. multiple administrations of even the same vaccine (like Hep B in this case) is harmless. Though it is unfortunate that the baby had to take another needle unnecessarily, no harm was done.
