I had a cold, or sinus infection symptoms now for a week. While terrible headache is gone, I cannot stop coughing (sometimes with mucous). Most problematic now is the sharp pain in lower right abdomen when coughing. I have no appendix. Can this coughing cause internal injury? Please help
It won’t cause any internal injury.
If you are old, it might lead to hernia.
You can consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated.
As of now you can take antitussive syrups to suppress cough.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
