Can Blood Thinners Be Taken Along With Doxycycline?

My eye doctor prescribed doxycycline hyclate for eye irritation from dry eye. Noticed that blood thinners like warfarin shouldn t be taken with it. Am on Xarelto 20mg. Any advise? Only side effect so far is fatigue, and temporary nausea if not taken with food. Thanks! YYYY@YYYY

Hi
If doxy is being takenin form of eye drops then its ok , systemic drug has no significant interaction with orally taken medicines like warfarin, however in case yiou are prescribed doxy orally , you can ask you doctor to shift you to a broad spectrum cephalosporin like cefixime, cefixime is safe with blood thinners and have no significant interaction, as is a broad sopectrum antimicrobial.
