Can Blockage At The Base Of Heart Lead To Heart Attack?
I had a cardiac cath done January 2010 which showed no blockages. The ER said I had a heart attack which showed thru the enzymes not on ekg. I went to my primary doctor who showed me a heart and said I had a small blockage at the base of the heart. When I was in the hospital a doctor came in and asked me why I was there because everything was very clear and they were not really sure that I had a heart attack. I asked just before I left the hospital what diag they were going with and they said mild heart attack. So why did my primary phy tell me I had a blockage. This was a heart attack from stress.
Heart attack in most cases is the end result of a block… Other causes are indeed uncommon, but not unknown Hence, the two terms are often used interchangeably by most people The word ‘Block’ is less stressful for the patient than the word ‘Attack’ – that is most likely the reason
