Can Antibiotics For Sinus Cause Bump On The Thigh With Bleeding?
I have a bump on my inner thigh, that clears up and then comes back. It grows rather large and with very little pressure will pop open. A thick yellowish white pus comes out at first that smells like rotting flesh , then a very dark blood will appear. It will stay drained for a day or so then come back. It cleared up completely some months back when I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection.
No, use of antibiotics cannot cause a bump. You are probably suffering from a local infection.
As you are saying it keeps coming, I'd advice you to -
1. Get a blood sugar test done, as recurrent infections are common in a diabetic.
2. Use a potent antibiotic course to ward off the infection.
3. Also, it might be a fungal infection. In that case, taking a antifungal tablet along with spraying an antifungal powder will help. Keep the area dry.
Kindly get it examined by your treating doctor first to ascertain what it is and get it treated accordingly.
Hope this information helps!
Feel free to ask if you have any doubt. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards, Dr. Sridhar Reddy
