Can Adderall Cause Pancreatitis?

I ve had 5 episodes of pancreatitis over the last 8 months and have been taking adderall for 8 years. I drink occasionally and have struggled with bulimia and anorexia since I was 15. I am now 30. I m 5 3 and weigh about 105. I ve been getting nauseous frequently out of nowhere and it feels like it could be pancreatitis again. They never found any cause when I was hospitalized previously and I didn t really follow up with a doctor because of no health insurance… Can the adderall be the cause of the pancreatitis?

Hi,

Yes, it causes pancreatitis on long term use. However, you also drink alcohol, and are obese which are also major causes of recurrent pancreatitis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
