Can Abstaining From Drinking For A Day Ensure Normal Liver Panel Test?
Hello,
I usually drink 3 1.5 oz. drinks of vodka a day, for months. I am 43 y.o., 170 lbs., never had an abnormal liver panel (test). I have not drunk anything in the past 12 hours. If I obstain from drinking any alcohol from now on, can I safely take 900 mg. of tylenol divided into 3 doses per 24h., 2700 mg. total per 24h? 9 tylenol 3's per 24 hours?

yes, you may take tylenol for fever or headache or joint pain of acute onset or short history.
however for any chronic problem, you should visit treating physician.
tylenol is usually safe in mild to moderate hepatitis provided that its NOT severe hepatitis, otherwise you should visit treating physician and get advice.
since you did not mention that are your Liver function test normal or abnormal, its better to monitor them
further advice, alcohol consumption should be minimum.
ingest vergetables everyday.
avoid junk food and cold drinks.
also advised to Repeat LIver function test and lipid profile annually..
