Can A Virus Infection Cause Dizzy Spells And Headache?

Dizzy spells followed by fainting. Had some kind of virus about 2 months ago. I was very tired, pain in my neck and back, terrible headache all the time. went to ER was told it was a virus. Started feeling a little better but now I get bad headaches, dizziness and fainting spells

Hi thanks for asking question....

On first presentation it seems like viral infection.
As in that headache can occur as constitutional symptoms.

But your symptoms since 2 month .
So needs evaluation....

Consult ENT surgeon for ear examination.
If inner ear involved or labyrinthitis or vestibular neurinitis like inflammation or infection can lead it.
Otological examination with rinne and weber test done along with pure tone audiometry....
If present treatment done with antibiotic or steroid whichever needed.

Check your blood pressure....
Here such presentation like headache with neck pain and stiffness can occur in intracranial haemorrhage ....
So finally if needed higher investigation done like CT scan or lumbar puncture.
