Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just adopted a plant based diet and my blood pressure has really dropped. I take lisinopril 30 mg. My bp this last week is 83/50, 84/46, 102/51 and 115/67. I m thinking I should cut my lisinopril to 15 mg. and then maybe quit altogether depending on my daily bp rates. Is it possible that vegan diet lowers bp this much? YYYY@YYYY
It is possible that vegetarians diet cause low blood pressure. Maybe you have lose weight. Before you low the dose of lisinopril I suggest you to discuss with Cardiologist.
